Fashion Friday: Mint Green Blazer

I am loving pops of pastels this Spring…and as much as I love colorful denim, I am still just as fond of a light wash pair of blue jeans. Happy Friday!

Decorating for Easter

Easter is just around the corner and in my family, that means huge meals and lots of flowers, candy and decorations. As you know, I really love any excuse to decorate my home and Easter is no exception.  Here is a glimpse into my Easter decor inspiration!

Nailhead Trim on Dining Chairs

After seeing the amazing ivory leather nailhead dining chairs and benches in Susan Hornbeak Ortiz’s home yesterday, I have been on a mission to find a set of my own.  This style has literally been around for AGES. I recall learning about just how old this design really is in my History of Furniture class when nailheads were called Chatones.  I think its safe to say that nailhead trim detail is here to stay.  Though I love this look on headboards, couches, desks and more, I am particularly fond of the way it looks on dining chairs.  It is an unobtrustive way to add something extra special to an otherwise ordinary piece of furniture.

Shine by S.H.O – A peak into Susan Hornbeak Ortiz’s Home

I love seeing the personal homes of great Interior Designers.  I absolutely adore this home by designer Susan Hornbeak Ortiz, the creative mind behind Shine by S.H.O.   Susan shows such restraint in her home.  I like how it is not over-decorated, but still looks incredibly interesting due to unique textures and accents.  Throughout her home, she has incorporated splashes of peacock blue and bold patterns from her own collection for a look that’s minimalistic, yet eclectic.

Lovely Window Seats

Oh, how I love a great window seat.  They are perfect for reading, chatting on the phone or even taking a nap.  I also  just adore they way they look in a room.

Window seat benches are also a great solution to small spaces

Spring Fling

I love this 80 degrees weather!  I am feeling awfully inspired to pull out all of my favorite Spring pieces… Especially Spring essential jewelry by Lauren Hope.  Her pieces are fresh, fun and completely affordable.

The Pastel Breakfast Nook

My favorite meal of the week is Sunday brunch. I love pancakes, waffles, cut fruit, omelets and lots of pastries with tea or fresh squeezed juice.  If I could have a massive brunch every Sunday, than I would not hesitate to indulge! My dream house will definitely have a perfect Sunday brunch breakfast nook.

This one isn’t exactly a breakfast nook, but this dining room at the Lyford Cay Club by Tom Scheerer looks like a spectacular place to have brunch.

Breakfast bars are equally as appealing to me! I love mint green accessories, appliance and paint!
