I love this orangey-pink color that is somewhat of a cross between the color of raspberry sorbet, fresh watermelon and those orange Hawaiian flowers that make up a lei. It is almost the color of a blood orange or a pomegranate…. I am particularly drawn to it right now because it reminds me of Spring-time, flowers and everything cheerful and bright….lately, I have been craving a little color in my life, so it seems appropriate to share some of my favorites.

I’m getting that itch that I get every March, where I just *need* to go on vacation. I am dying for a little R & R, preferably accompanied by warm weather. I came across this gorgeous little house in Lake Martin, Alabama and it just pushed me over the edge. It’s decor looks serene, peaceful and relaxing…everything I’m looking for in a vacation!

I loved the Oscars last night…. every glamorous and glorious second of it! My favorite part (as always) was seeing all the lovely starlets looking their absolute best. I think that everyone looked so beautiful, but there were some who just took my breath away.
My absolute favorite celebrity of the night was Gwyneth Paltrow. Tom Forn is a genius! Swoon….
White was huge on the red carpet this year, I also loved Octavia Spencer in Tadashi and Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab. They really represent true hollywood glamour.
Stacy Keibler looked stunning. I mean, could she possibly be any more gorgeous? And her dress was just incredible.
Lots of ladies rocked metallics. Jessica Chastain looked stunning in her black and gold Alexander McQueen dress. Her hair and make up were beautiful and that dress was tdf.
I loved Ellie Kemper in her copper Armani Prive and Giuliana Rancic in silver Tony Ward.
It looks like our favorite (or least favorite?) Hills star, Kristin Cavallari, scored a ticket to the oscars. She looked beautiful and is definitely rocking her pregnancy glow.
There weren’t too many total misses this year. However, I was disappointed with Angelina Jolie. On one hand, she is Angelina and is basically responsible for creating most fashion trends, but on the other hand, this whole look is boring. I definitely expected more from her.
This dress is one of my favorites, but someone with a figure as beautiful as Shailene Woodley should not be so covered up especially at an event like the Oscars. I am all for modesty, but this is just matronly.
Before the Oscars, I was really excited to see what Emma Stone was wearing, but felt that this Giambattista Valli gown was a let down. Again, the dress is beautiful, but it just doesn’t work on Emma. The style, color and cut overwhelm her.
Natalie Portman wore a red polka-dot vintage Christian Dior gown. What was she thinking? She is always one of my favorites, but I just.don’t.like.this.
Lastly, a few other beautiful ladies on the red carpet….not my favorites, but still lovely none-the-less.
Happy Valentine’s Day! It really snuck up on me this year… Although some believe this holiday is silly, I love all the romance of it. I’m looking forward to not only my first day of work today, but also a nice romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at home with my husband tonight.

My favorite time of year is approaching faster than ever! I just compiled an excel spreadsheet outlining the 52 people for whom I need to buy a gift (yikes!) Fortunately, I LOVE going through my list and picking out a special item for each person on it. This year, I am starting with the girls – my mom, grandma, mother-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, nieces and best friends.
Perhaps its the excessive thank you note writer in me, but every year I begin my Holiday shopping in the stationary department. I mean, how cute is this set from Kate Spade?
These slipper flats from stubbs and wootton are an essential part of my wardrobe and I really think every lady would benefit from owning a pair…Especially the needlepoint leopard pattern spotted on Olivia Palermo this summer. Act fast and you can cash in on their limited time 30% off sale online.
There are lots of goodies available at Iomoi. I love these lucite trays and monogrammed coasters.
Everyone can use a nice blanket, this seafoam green one from Cococozy is a classic….Really anything from Cococozy will suffice!
Is there a girl out there in this world who doesn’t love a scented candle? Diptyque is one of my favorites.
My Holiday shopping has just begun – check back for many more gift ideas.
I love the way vintage shutters looks on the exterior of a home. These shutters add major character to these exteriors and make me feel so curious about what may lie behind them.
I envision a pretty French interior with just as much charm as the exterior

Growing up, I always thought my grandmother was the epitome of glamour and elegance. Her hair was always perfectly coiffed, her clothes were always stylish, and she always smelled like perfume. On her bedroom dresser, she had a sterling silver mirrored tray holding beautiful vintage parfume bottles….So, to this day, perfume trays always make me think of her and all things glamorous.
