This a little off topic but as a Mom of two young boys who are currently attending summer camp I found First Bites founder Caren Gremonts Huffpost article “Obesity’s Officially a Disease, so why was my child diagnosed as a ‘healthy eater’?” a fascinating post. It’s a quick read about how camps (and of course our schools are guilty as well) provide snacks like oreos, graham crackers, cheetos, etc and offer these as “nutritious” options for our children to snack on. I am all for balance in a child’s life but packaged processed desserts disguised as healthy snack options seems misguided to say the least.
If anyone is interested in healthy snack options for kids and lunch box ideas, below is a list of blogs I frequent for suggestions:

I cannot get over this beautiful little collection spotted on the Oscar de la Renta runway. His timeless elegance translates wonderfully to his children’s collection. I can hardly wait until the day when I can wrap up my baby boy in one of those precious pink blazers.
Diane Von Furstenberg has collaborated with Gap Kids and Baby Gap to launch a new line of colorfully printed kids clothing. This collection, which ranges from newborn to age 12, is so adorable that I just can’t take it. It is filled with jersey rompers for toddlers, a navy striped seersucker blazer and patterned little dresses, which all appear to be classic DVF. I am so excited for its release on March 15!
Another kids product that has sent me over-the-moon is Plum Prints. Plum Prints consolidates all of your childrens’ lovely artwork into one organized little package. All you have to do is ship your child’s artwork off to Plum Prints and they will organize and digitize a unique book just for you.
Lastly, Aden + Anais, known for making cotton and bamboo swaddle wraps which are on everyones must-have baby gift lists, are now making crib sheets. They come in organic and non-organic cotton and are just as soft as their swaddle wraps.
